Holborn Enabling Works - South Shields

The Holborn Enabling Works project comprises land clearance, remediation, bulk earthworks and maritime works specifically to construct a level development platform for subsequent development by a third party. The following elements are envisaged:— bulk excavations,— vegetation clearance,— fly tipping/asbestos clearance,— maritime works incorporating the demolition of redundant riverside structures and the construction of new sheet pile and combi pile river walls,— temporary works (e.g. cofferdam),— permanent works to block off a disused graving dock (e.g. concrete retaining structure),— dock inspection and repair,— treatment of in-situ silts,— dock infilling with as-dug material from elsewhere on site,— sealing,— remediation,— ground obstruction removal,— in-situ treatment and off site disposal of contaminated soils,— capping/hoarding,— utility isolations.The works will be subject to the client obtaining the necessary permissions and consents and are envisaged to be procured during late Summer/Autumn 2020.
